Fire District Residence:
We would like to inform you about the changes in the Fire Hazard Severity Zone (FHSZ) and how you can make public comment regarding the same. As you may be aware, a significant portion of the Schell Vista Fire District falls under the FHSZ, which is governed by the California State Fire Marshal and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CalFIRE).
To facilitate public comments, we have provided an email address and a website where you can submit your feedback. If you have any specific questions or concerns related to the FHSZ, please do not hesitate to contact CalFIRE at 916-633-7655.
The email address for public comments is FHSZcomments@fire.ca.gov, and the website is osfm.fire.ca.gov/FHSZ. We request you to use these channels to submit your feedback before the deadline.
