Schell-Vista Firefighter Association

The Schell-Vista Firemen's Association was organized in 1962 to provide adequate fire protection for the homes, farms, places of business and natural resources of the district. Today the Association is committed to the same mission. The Association is a public service organization whose objective is to establish and maintain fundraising to support the fire department and the surrounding community.

A 501(c) 3 charitable organization, the Association consists of four elected officers: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. The Association meets on the first Thursday of each month to discuss department and district matters and make recommendations to the Schell-Vista Fire Protection District Board of Directors. The primary goal of the Association is to work in cooperation with the Schell-Vista Board of Directors and the Schell-Vista Fire Protection District to assist in operation of the District with community safety as the number one priority.

The Association sponsors various social events and participates in various community activities. Each year the Association holds a chicken BBQ in July and a polenta feed in April. These are the Association's primary fundraising events. The funds raised at these events go to training, equipment, and various other firefighter needs. If you would like to make a donation to the association, please contact the fire station at 707-938-2633.
